Croce, Giovanni, Laudans exultet gaudio EMP0725 £3.00
SATB SATB Scoring legend ISMN M-2056-0725-8
I have been unable to find either a liturgical place or any other setting of this text which is obviously for the Assumption. I suppose it to have been composed for a celebration at one of the Scuole Grande in Venice, for which Croce was for many years in charge of the music. The motet provides for other feasts by giving an alternative text 'in honore beati N' etc.
Alternative version(s):

EMP0965 For St James
EMP1043 For All Saints

de Rore, Cipriano, Descendi in hortum meum EMP0724 £3.75
SSAATTB Scoring legend Antiphon - Ed: Keith Bennett and Michael Procter ISMN M-2056-0724-1
A lovely Song of Songs setting in the unusual scoring for 7 voices, offered a tone lower than the original pitch.
Gabrieli, Giovanni, O quam gloriosa a 16 EMP1278 £5.80
a 16: see description Scoring legend ISMN M-2056-1278-8
This magnificent piece, one of Gabrieli's finest, is scored for four groups made up as follows: TrSST ATBaSb MATB TrATSb and Organ. The third group is the Capella, i.e. the vocal choir; the highest group is probably originally for solo Tenor and three instruments: these could be cornetti or strings with an appropriate low instrument; the second group is surely for a solo Alto and three instruments, probably trombones with either a curtal (dulcian) or Bass trombone; the fourth group is hard to identify; either the Alto or the Tenor must be sung, the other voices are for instruments. The text is otherwise unknown but clearly refers to the Assumption.
Josquin des Pres, Ecce tu pulchra es EMP0614 £2.00
SATB Scoring legend Motet general ISMN M-2056-0614-5
An unusual text deriving from a pre-Tridentine Rite and found as far as we can establish only in this setting.

A setting of the familiar text, which was often attributed to Isaac.
